EndoAccess: Gaining insights into patient experience in healthcare access and endometriosis diagnosis.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?

In seeking a diagnosis of endometriosis you have gone through multiple interactions with the health system. This study aims to gain insight into your perception of health service availability and access. Knowledge will be gained by what you have gone through, not just how long it has taken you to receive your diagnosis but your perspective of health service interactions.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

If you have recently received a diagnosis of endometriosis (within the last five years), reside in Australia and are aged over 18 years, you are invited to participate.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

  • You are being invited to participate in an online anonymous survey. This survey will include questions on:
    your date of endometriosis diagnosis
  • Your age at diagnosis
  • Background information about you when you first started engaging with health services to find a cause for your symptoms
  • Your perception of the health services you encountered in your diagnosis journey from the time you first engaged with health services to the time you were diagnosed.
